Perfect Time Waster

GridWars
If you are like me and haven’t had the chance to play Geometry Wars for the 360 because early adoption is really kind of a suckers game, don’t be disheartened. Some smarty mcsmartenheimer by the name of Marco Incitti has created a free version of it that you can download for both PC and Mac. It is really addictive and a solid chunk of game.

Hall Of Douchebags
American Idol has nothing on these winners….
Mad Russian

The Marvelous Crooning Child
Eugene Mirman is a strange and weird little Russian guy that somehow got let into the country some years back. He has been on Conan O’Brien for reasons that are beyond me, and he was lucky enough to appear on Home Movies as well. Young master Miriman is also well known for his strong anti-drug stance.
Fit For A King

Earlier, during the broadcast of the Coretta Scott King service, there was a “moving” tribute by none other than the maestro of Adult Contemporary himself….Michael Bolton. I was all up in the Situation Room while this nightmarish slice of surreal Americana was taking place, but I did flip around a bit to see how some other networks were covering this monumental occurrence.
More after the jump, as they say…

change is good

Starting today some things are going to change around these here parts.
I haven’t been happy with this Amazon-centric blog thingy, so I’m going to change it from “Amazon Whoring” to “Pointless Whoring”. It will become more of a catch all deal for the kind of junk and random garbage that I find all over the web. That way, I will be more likely to update the damn thing more often. As it is, I can’t really get excited over finding crazy crap on Amazon all the time. I’m hoping this change will lite a fire under my ass to update the section some more.

Also in the works currently is an official 13tongimp.com podcast of some type or other. I’ve been throwing together all sorts of lame attempts at music mixing for some time now, and I have all sorts of audio goodness from the nine corners of the interweb to share as well. While listening to great amateur radio programs such as the Hour Of Slack, I’ve really been inspired to try and refresh and expand the meager radio production skills I do have. It probably won’t help much that I goofed off a lot in radio class those many years ago.
Nasal Hair Hero

Bobobo-bo bo-bobo, Volume 1
Here is the description of Bobobo-bo bo-bobo from the Wiki:
“The story takes place in the year “300X”. The evil “Bald Empire” (”Margarita Empire” in the Japanese version), led by Emperor Baldy Bald (Tsuru Tsuruiina IV in the Japanese version), is taking over the world by stealing people’s hair. The hero, Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo (whose name is a string of the mimetic word bÅ-bÅ- (ã¼ã†ã¼ã†) used on rough vegetation or unkempt hair), is an adventurer who as a child learned to “hear the voices of the hair”, and can command his own body hair (including his nose, chest, and armpit hair) to perform various martial arts dubbed Art of the Fist of the Nose Hair (In Japan Hanage Shinken (鼻毛真拳), literally “true martial art of nostril hair”), often called “Snot Fo-Yu” (pun on “snot for you”) in the dub, though it was called “Fist of Nose Hair” in one episode. The series follows his various escapades as he teams up with many different oddball sidekicks to fight the Baldies.”
And you can catch the anime on the Cartoon Network…
